Aimhigher is a national programme run by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) in conjunction with the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS) and exists to encourage people to consider higher education. This website is just one part of the Aimhigher programme and provides all the information you need to get started on the road into HE, including links to all the key places where you can find answers to your questions.

ASDAN creates the opportunitiy for learners to achieve personal and social development through the achivement of ASDAN Awards and Qualifications, enhancing self esteem, aspirations and individual contribution to local, national and global communities. ASDAN offers a wide range of Awards for young people of all abilities. They aim to recognise and reward their skills as they complete 'Personal Challenges' in such areas as sports, healthy living, community involvement, work experience, expressive arts, relationships, citizenship, personal finance and enterprise.

We work closely with UK Trade & Investment, the British Government Organisation supporting both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas enterprises seeking to locate in the UK. We also represent the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Bullying Online

Bullying Online, the UK’s leading anti-bullying charity, thinks it’s great that the government is getting to grips with cyber bullying. This charity was the first in the UK to highlight this problem publicly in 2000 and since then we’ve received thousands of complaints of abuse by text message, silent phone calls, insulting forum messages, happy slapping and vicious and threatening website pages.

Child Exploitation and On-line Protection Centre

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre works across the UK and maximises international links to tackle child sex abuse wherever and whenever it happens. Part of our strategy for achieving this is by providing internet safety advice for parents and carers and delivering a virtual police station for reporting abuse on the internet.
