Using The Joint Area Prospectus

How to Search the Prospectus

This page will explain on how to use the "Speed Search" facility of the Joint Area Prospectus, this search facility can be accessed from most Prospectus pages on this website. You will find below some examples of the major features of this search function. 

Example 1

If you wanted to find courses in Computing in Dhekelia Garrison within the Post-16 age range. 

  1. Select Dhekelia in the Select Garrison menu
  2. Select Post-16 in the Select Age drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the keyword "Computing".
  4. Press the Submit Form button.

Where you will be presented with a list of the available courses with the word Computing in.

If there aren't any courses matching your Keyword, you can retry by widening your Keyword by entering comput which would act on the words such as computer, compute, computerisation etc.

Example 2

If you wanted to find all the courses in Hohne Garrison regardless of the Age Range.

  1. Select Hohne Garrison from the Select Garrison menu, 
  2. Press Submit Form.

There you will be presented with all the courses in Hohne Garrison together with its course provider.

Example 3

If you wanted to find all the courses in Osnabruck Garrison in the 14-16 Age Range.

  1. Select Osnabruck from the Select Garrison menu
  2. Select 14-16 age range from the Select Age menu.
  3. Then Submit Form.

Now you will be presented with all courses that match your selection together with its course provider.

 

Example 4

If you wanted to search for all courses by a particular course provider across all age ranges.

  1. Select the Course Provider from the Provider drop-down box
  2. Press Submit Form.

Now you will be presented with a list of all courses which are being hosted by your selected course provider.

Example 5

If you wanted to search for all courses by a particular course provider across the Post 16 age range.

  1. Select the Course Provider from the Provider drop-down box,
  2. Select the age Post 16 from the Age drop-down box.
  3. Press Submit Form.

Now you will be presented with a list of all Post 16 courses which are being hosted by your selected course provider.

Please note: When selecting a Provider there is no need to select a Garrison as well, also when selecting a Garrison there is no need to select a Provider.
